Mr Alisdair Felstead
MBBS MSc FRCS (Orth)

Mr Felstead has been a full time NHS consultant at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, since 2022.  He specialises in foot and ankle, trauma and limb reconstruction surgery.

He undertook specialist orthopaedic training in Surrey and Sussex, followed by fellowships in foot and ankle surgery at QA, and trauma and limb reconstruction at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.  He develops his knowledge by visiting experts worldwide, such as Fran Birkholtz in South Africa.

Mr Felstead has published on topics such as novel techniques in orthopaedics and bone and joint infection.  He is the resident doctor lead at Queen Alexandra Hospital, organises the journal club and regular teaching.  He also teaches and supervises the senior foot and ankle fellow.
